At a BP/Amoco in Mt. Kisco today the diesel was a bit cheaper--3.39 v 3.49 for regular--(Westchester County 20 minutes north of NYC) The view from the roads and streets I spend way too much time on as a NYC metro region contractor shows slightly reduced traffic volume but still a preponderance of big inefficient vehicles going as fast as humanly possible. Between the cost of going to work and paying for a warm house after work the cold climate consumer is going to spend less on something. I am short the RTH via puts because I expect it to react quickly to any appreciable consumer spending restraint.
