how did we get to jp 8,,, vs diesel pricing at the pump?
during my time we called jp 4... and i do remember a problem during Kennedy and Cuba. one morning coming into terminal at e.boston(next to logan airport)after kennedy gave his tv announcement about ships from russia coming into cuba i found the truck loading rack backed up for about a mile. from the terminal rack all the way back up to rte c1. they were hauling 24 hours a day jet fuel over to the military aircraft at the airport. I was told the planes were running with pilots in cockpits in order to take off on command. we sure came very close that time.

Oh, after that we started to get local approvals to get pipeline to airport.

hmmm no diesel problems thou.
