I was just trying to offer reassurance. It's still very nasty.

My brother is down there giving hepatitis shots and tetanus shots and so forth. You'd think first responders would have already had their hepatitis shots and tetanus shots and so forth up-to-date.

On the plus side, next year the vegetation should be wonderful, lots of fertilizer.

They say the live oaks won't survive having their roots submerged, but I bet they'll make it.

They say right now people can see stars because the air is so clear.

It's so quiet, it's like being in a forest.

For some reason, I am reminded of the aftermath of Chernobyl. Lucky us, it won't be nearly so bad.
