Sure, however, Bush appointed an incompetent, unfit person for a very important job. That you can not deny since Brownie is not even in charge anymore.

As a result, Bush is ultimately the responsible party for the untimely death of hundreds, if not thousands. I also put some blame on local officials, but the bulk of the blame should fall on the feds for their inaction in the very first days before and after the disaster.

If you are too myopic or in denial to see this, history itself will be very unkind to your master.
