I was very intrigued by the potential new development, known by the acronym THAI, in extracting oil from tar sands.

For obscure reasons of your own, you believe this is somehow related to Oil Shale. It is not.

If you can prove otherwise I will anxiously await your explanation.

has this been posted to bdbbr before? quite an article about oil shale and even some precise definitions. there is even quite a detailed explanation of the shell in situ shale oil process with pros and cons of the process.
