Owning oil stocks does, in fact, make buying gasoline for your car a little less painful, I suppose. The bottom line, though, is that, in real terms, buying gas is cheaper now than it was during the days of the creation of OPEC (1974?). The way the US is structured, however, a rise in gas prices could cripple the economy.

I own some TGA (TransGlobe) and am very optimistic about their future.
