This is what you said:

"The Liberal critics in their comfy armchairs have been so busy pinning blame and so anxious to make political hay out of a natural disaster, they have not taken a moment to express any gratitude or admiration for all those men and women who have been working around the clock saving lives.

So what else is new."

I interpreted it as criticizing the rescue workers, and now on rereading it, I see it doesn't actually say that. It instead charges that not one "liberal" critic has said anything positive about the rescue workers. Slightly different, but still completely nonsensical. Your charge requires proving a negative, and I don't have time to read hundreds of opinion pieces by "liberals." But it is difficult for me to imagine that none of them have acknowledged the rescue workers. They are all focusing on the decision makers. I think everyone in America (except perhaps the looters) is amazed by the tenacity and bravery of the rescuers. I don't think that has anything at all to do with being "liberal" or not.

I don't hate Bush, and I don't demonize him. I have written lots of posts defending parts of him as a human being (but not his policies). So it is really not fair of you to say that. However, public figures are fair game at Feelies, as they are almost everywhere on SI. Certainly I have never read anything nearly as vile about Bush here as the hundreds of thousands of posts at SI about Bill Clinton, though. Does hatred and demonizing of Clinton qualify as a mental disorder? If it does, there are a lot of rightwingers here who need treatment!
