Attacking the other person(s) is the normal method employed when people have no valid argument.

Yes, quite true. The history of science is full of such incidents. (i.e. undermining the others credibilty) It can be done in a subtle manner or in an open way.

You can see the method I have employed here. It counteracts the other method being used.
