Yes, I blame them all consistently. You suggest I blame the governor and the mayor only? That is a lie. I HAVE consistently included in my list of those to blame, President Bush. I have not, and will not, pretend he's not responsible, nor will I pretend local and state didn't by plan have the responsibility (and properly so) to save the day, nor that they didn't F-up too.

FEMA is NOT a first responder organization. That's a simple truth. Even what the Governor asked from the President didn't include anything close to the kind of immediate help required (and I've read her letter to the president myself, with it's list of particulars), and this is compounded and reinforced by the fact that while she had more guard available to her by her request than are there even now, she didn't ask for them in time.
