I used to be in the club--acolyte, confirmed
lutheran, even served on the church council for
a bit. It was more of a weekly get-together
rather than a club. I don't think our pastor
really worried too much about how our faith
waxed and waned, and he certainly did not
make me feel bad when I left the church.

I'm ambivalent about exposing my kids to
Christianity. It didn't do me any harm,
and possibly some good. The bible is a little
whacked out in spots, but truth is, I haven't
read it in ages. Plenty of other books that
are more interesting that I ought to get to
first. My kids are young, so naturally we
are reading the classic fairytales first, we
may or may not get around to the biggest one.
