And yes I watched Edwards on CNN today. He would be the right person for the White House. A Southern Democrat, son of a mill worker. I liked the way he fielded the question about his political plans for the future and exhibiting the spirit of gratefulness when he was asked how his wife was doing. Pure down to earth guy. I vote for drafting Edwards for President. We Americans are tired of bickering and partisanship. We need to return to our roots of hope, striving for success and who else to lead us but the son of a mill worker and a postal sorter.

You are plainly talking of things about which you can't possibly know. If the State said "we are trying to save lives now, and bringing in water and food will make things worse by causing a riot" to Edwards, who knows what he'd do. That's essentially what happened, you know. You can presume humans like Bush & Cheney don't care, you can even believe whole-heartedly that they are devils (and I know you do), but it is highly unlikely, and you can't make it so for wishing.
