What about looking at costs savings there - while still keeping the strongest military in the world? * Universal health insurance - same as everyone over 65 gets right now. Younger people are already facing soaring costs for housing, healthcare, and education. What about at least providing a base level of health care, same as for everyone over 65? All other major countries in the world do this - all our Allies - England, Canada, Australia, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, all the other European countries, why can't we provide a simple safety net? * What about tax incentives, and spending proposals, to make the US economy more competitive? We see nothing about this from Bush now - and we are seeing about 1.5 to 2 billion PER DAY of wealth transferred from the US to Asia, as we run chronic trade deficits. That's a few for you - there are more... >> So besides the fact that you would not have gone to Iraq in the first place; What are the Democratic alternative proposals how to handle the situation. Same question for security, national and social, health care, taxes etc etc. All I hear is a bunch of whining about how Bush supposedly stole the election what: five years ago? Time to "move on". Hey that sounds like a good name for a web site.
