I didn't say ALL white people. I said MOST white people. I'm pretty sure Bush, who's probably had a car since he was legal, didn't have a clue. Same goes for most white suburbanites, for whom life without a car seems like some sort of an impossibility.

The whole, poor people couldn't drive out arguement seems rather silly. Any big "lived in" city has a ton of people that don't own a car and or "Don't drive".


New York has a much better public transportation system.

But in reality an 80% evacuation is pretty damn good... I doubt Miami or Tampa would do as well.
