Personally, I thought the Mississippi Govenor did a fantastic job. Considering that MISSISSIPPI got the brunt of the storm and the brunt of the wind and surge damage you didnt see much on t/v about civil disorder or mass confusion. jdn

What failure in Mississippi? Their governor ordered a mandatory evacuation..as a matter of fact, he told everyone in the state to get out...just get out, go anywhere, but flee.

The state Mississippi National Guard was in immediately after the storm hit, doing their jobs, and people were cleaning up roads as a first step to recovery.

The governor and mayor of NO told the people left to go to the Super Dome, when in actuality, there were buses they could have used to evacuate the many people left with no transportation.
The governor then told the Red Cross and Fema to stay out, and not help the people in the Dome or they might want to stay.

Now that is your lesson in facts.
