If you approach life with the attitude that society rather than individuals are responsible for the successes and failures of individuals, then the Democrat / liberal POV starts to make sense. Republicans seem to be focussed on the idea of individual responsibility. Perhaps I am only showing my ignorance, but for the life of me, I cannot see logic in the Demo/Lib POV without this assumption. He appears unlikely to be able to read the article without losing the battle of blood pressure.
