DJNW headline:

"AMD, Microsoft, MySQL, Oracle And Red Hat Support Sun's Commitment To Industry Standards"

I was hoping for some nice surprise in the announcement (like a deal to sell some machines), but that sure doesn't qualify.

Sun's always been good about collecting people to stand up on the stage with them and say "Sure, we don't mind if Sun gives people another way to buy our products. Just don't ask us to do anything."

I think it must be more than a "few traders" -- unless they're traders with a lot of money, and I would have thought those folks would have bought a few weeks ago when it was $3.60 instead of $4.20.

Edit: Bottom line is I'm a bit baffled by it.

JMHO.
