Nonsense. If anything, Greenspan softened what could have been a even bigger burst of the bubble. Some even say Greenspan didn't raise interest rates soon enough.


Explain to me how a bust in the tech sector that only effects 3 or 4 cities can bring down an economy as begin the American economy?

And there is a bigger disagreement than the one you cite; that is, whether Greenspan needed to tighten at all. There is some who claim he did it to help Bush win the election. Shortly, after Bush took office, he began to loosen.
