I guess the point is, that they won't have time nor wakefulness for looting, if they can get hired. Actually, one of my best points is that those who won't get hired due to wage controls, will miss the chance to work alongside more-skilled workers. No, the real disgusting thing here is not low wages, it's the illegality of not being allowed to accept a wage someone is willing to pay, and going jobless because the government won't allow you to work for less when YOU are willing, when YOU want to be good, and are even begging just for a chance.
