Thanks for the article which says that Bush ought to learn a lesson from the President of Indonesia with regard to providing relief for major disasters.

It has been so very "watery" everywhere in New Orleans and environs in recent days. However, I suspect there will be arson in days to come once "dryness" has been achieved to get rid of "eye-sore" structures. What do you think: first, destruction by water and then some destruction by fire? To be sure, the insurance companies will be kept very, very busy!

By the way, a couple of nights ago, the Dalai Lama suggested to Larry King and viewers that the Louisiana-Mississippi disaster was man-made and Karma was involved. However, he did not elaborate. Instead, he emphasized that it is vital for one and all involved to pick the pieces, so to speak, and embark on reconstruction and renewal for the future. This sounds rather platitudinous to me. Ah, but then there is perhaps no other more positive thing for him to say at this time.
