I was so pleased with my previous reply to this that I completely forgot about actually saying something even remotely related in response. I agree with you (but I think you knew that already). It seems to me that we are in danger of becoming a completely risk-adverse society and that the further we travel down the road attempting to remove all potential risk, no matter how far-fetched, rare, or trivial, our productivity, inventiveness and our financial health will suffer greatly.
