I wonder who built those levees? Hope they have insurance ;-) Morial was probably indirectly launching his bid for mayor in 2007, or volunteering to administer any fund, for a fat fee I'm sure (if he isn't indicted for something first). He was termed out in 2003, but I understand that a lot of people expected him to run again in the next election. I'm afraid that we will hear a lot more about this, and that it will be framed in black and white terms. When opinion polls show 6 in 10 black Americans believe that race was the issue in the response, and less than 1 in 10 white Americans do, I'm not hopeful.
