Again I'm just trying to be honest here. There are a ton of people in urban areas who are socially conservative and against big government regardless of which way they lean and a ton of them are solid Democrat. As to the term redneck yeah it's a generalized term which to me is homogeneous white living in small towns that seem to vote solid Republican. Call that racist? Be my guest..

As to where the wealth is concentrated no doubt the greatest wealth concentrated in the big metro areas as is the poorest of minorities that need/expect gov't support. Personally I hate both parties now after leaning towards Republican in the pre GWB regime so I have few friends<g>.

How's it "racist"? Rednecks are white people! So are liberals, progressives, neocons, neonazis,...

I grew up with rednecks in Texas. Most of 'em will freely acknoledge the redness of their necks, before they slide off the barstool and attempt to kick your ass.
