In that something over 75% of the people captured or killed were NOT Iraqi's I would agree that the term INSURGENTS doesnt even relate. jdn

'Terrorism' is a TACTIC (employed throughout history by a variety of people).

'Insurgent' implies the political goal that they aim for.

That is why the US Military uses the descriptive term.
