Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon may have a "chance meeting" with PakistaniPresident General Pervez Musharraf in the UN corridors, said The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday.

The newspaper says: "Sharon may have a ‘chance meeting’ with Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf in the United Nations corridors. There is also some speculation that Sharon might meet the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani."

However, Pakistan has again ruled out President Musharraf’s meeting with Israeli leaders in New York. Pakistani diplomats told reporters that there is no schedule of any meeting of President Musharraf with Israeli leaders on the sidelines of the UN session.

Speculations regarding such meetings were rife following recent first-ever meeting between Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri and Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom at Istanbul.
