Perhaps you will be good enough to comment on the case of Lawrence Summers, once Treasury Secretary in the Clinton Administration, and currently the President of Harvard University. A synopsis of the controversy can be found here:

rense.com

Since this is reminiscent of the days when the New Left savaged the liberal Lyndon Johnson, it is tempting for someone on the right to sit back and watch the show. But since PC assaults on free speech aren't limited to University professors from Democrat Administrations, I think it's important to come to Lawrence Summers aid.

Did Mr Summers utter the word "jigaboo"? Nooo.

Did he disparage someone's race, gender, or sexual preference? Nooo.

Was he uttering profanity? Nooo.

What then, did the unworthy Mr Summers do that the legions of the politically correct want him fired?

Why, he expressed some opinions regarding why women are underrepresented in math and science, and these opinions, why, why they are Thought Crimes! Fire him! ooops. Sorry. I was getting caught up in the all the fun of squelching Thoughts Unworthy of Being Uttered.
