One can only hope. But that would be such a change from the way things are done, that I am dubious. If for no other reason, it would require an admission that they were wrong and I don't think they can do that seriously.

All administrations reward their peeps. Most award them jobs they can do. If there isn't a job an important peep can do, you give them an irrelevant job where they can do no harm. But you DON'T award important jobs to people who are incompetent. ESPECIALLY important jobs on which American's LIVES may depend.
