I did read that and I thought it was an amazing admission of what it takes to get good leaders in a country that isn't as rich as ours. I wonder if it would do any good in this country, though, because the folks who get to the presidency are rich as heck anyway. And you have to be rich to raise the money that it takes to run in this country. But I agree with the sentiment that if you pay for quality, you generally get it. As far as cleaning up the Republican mess, I do think it will take a VERY strong and moral leader after Bush. I hope we get a McCain.
