Patent,

Re: PDGE. I have a buddy who works for a large, private demolition and remediation company. He said that as soon as Katrina hit and it was obvious that damage was catastrophic, his company sent out 500 workers to one city that was hit, and that is just a start. They made some big bucks with the hurricanes in Florida and they expect this to be much bigger.

I mentioned before that plastic film is scarce because all of it is going to be used in the Southeast and plywood is in short supply. In short, it would surprise me if these kinds of companies did not do extremely well over the next year.

PDGE seems like a good bet after a flat report.

Patentlawmeister,

PDGE.OB - you know I didn't like it initially due to the type of service acquisition (bidding !) they were exposed to and the ensuing rather low margins. Howver if you see in such firms an opportunity to move into higher margin stuff, it can be a great value-creator and that's just what we witnessed in PDGE.OB when they acquired the mold-treatment firm. I'm 100% sure they will use these acquired knowldge to offer these services on a wider geographic scale... sort of footprint expansion.. (similarly to what ALY did)

whenever you see such strategic moves, you might have an opportunity to unlock and create value in front of you. PDGE's case is particularly nice.. and it bodes well for HOM also. HOM's PR today tells us about their JV ("alliance") with FERS. Brings them extra people at their service.. both firms will benefit for sure.

On HOM - in light of the recent activities I now tend to think they have room until the $10-13range and I'm assuming a FY2006 runrate top line of around $100-120m (my target amounts to a PSR of around 3 on increased FY2006 sales) .. they should also continue to grow by acquisition.

all the best
CROSSY
