But gold is taking off now. Not good for bonds if this continues no matter what the FOMC does or does not do.

Inflation rising at 6%. Long bond at 4.3% Those holding our long term debt will be toast amid the flush of dollars. Unfortunately for bond holders, there isnt an out as nothing else can absorb the liquidity of our enormous public and private debts.

This continues to re-inforce my belief that all roads point to stagflation as the way out of our debt morass. I actually believe that Greenspan recognizes it and that is the plan. He will continue to raise rates. imo. Unfortunately, having been thru the last episode of stagflation, the results are not pretty.
