conumdrum for bears is initial fall in real estate will be boon for stocks. Look at australian and UK markets, money came out of real estate and went in to stocks. I think when people see end of housing or inability to sell they will max out financing and cashout and put $$ in to markets. They will do this cause they will think they will outperform the 6% they will pay in interest, and they plan to live there forever etc. Speculators will just try to get their cash out any way they can. My prediction first phase of housing slump woill lead to asset rotation. UK and Australian housing markets are down 10% and their markets are at new highs
