No kidding. It's been there for thousands of years. We didn't create it and we won't end it either. You're sure? Perhaps a few decades of elected governments, freedom of the press, a constitution which provides for some degree of regional autonomy will reduce and/or eliminate the hatred that has prevailed during thousands of years of oppressive, authoritarian, unelected governance. JF, I made a very narrow argument about suicide bombers and occupation and you guys keep trying to expand it... and put words in my mouth. What part of "cause-n-effect" did I misunderstand in your post? Is our presence in Iraq truly the cause of the suicide bombers, or is that just another excuse used by the hatemongers who motivate the bombers? BTW, I'm fine with keeping the scope of the argument narrow. Sometimes, though, the narrow point-of-view might be the wrong one to take, especially considering the bigger picture. Tenchusatsu
