Puerto Rico is a U.S. Territory. It taxes drug corporations at 2-7%...virtually nothing. There are no "import" taxes to the U.S. from Puerto Rico.

As to the 34% figure. It comes from the WHO in a study of the drug industry world wide. Shall I look it up for you?

"Enjoy the artificial price discount while you it lasts"

Are you addressing some different problem?

I thought it was American consumers complaining about being ripped off by their drug companies? I thought it was American consumers seeking to find affordable drugs by tapping Canadian and European markets? I thought it was the American special interest groups and Government lackeys of the FAT CATS who were trying to derail democracy and Capitalism and free trade?

I thought it was the American Drug Industry that was opposed to this channeling of less expensive "life extending" drugs to the worthy citizens of the United States?

So what is it???

But what is your take? Do you want to pay the market value (from Canada or anywhere)...or do you want to see people unable to get necessary drugs? Are you with the American public for free trade, supply and demand, and capitalism...or do you support a totalitarianism of the FAT CATS??

THE FLEECING OF AMERICA! TO HELL WITH THE POOR, THE SICK, THE DYING. :-(

"Make no mistake about it, there is a direct connection between the drug companies massive profits and Americans being charged the highest prices for prescription drugs in the world. It is my belief that Congress needs to stop working to protect the billions in drug company profits and start working to protect Americans from being ripped off on the price of their medications."

You just can't argue with the NUMBERS!

This should be YOUR fight--not mine. But I don't mind lending a capitalistic hand to the matter! :-)

So are YOU going to keep letting them gouge you and tear out your (eye) balls??
