I see Laz has wisely declined to champion the cause of baby killing, but fools do rush in...

"Under the rules established by KNMG and the Dutch courts, the patient's decision must be freely made, well-considered and persistent; there must be unbearable suffering; and the attending physician should consult with a colleague."

That was not the topic being discussed. In fact I don't object to someone rationally choosing to end their own life; although I think Dr assisted suicide is highly problematic.

What was up for question was "life ending without request"

CNN) -- Dutch health officials are considering guidelines doctors could follow for euthanizing terminally ill people "with no free will," including children, the severely mentally retarded and patients in irreversible comas.

They are already doing this but I suppose you think if they have "guidelines" then it must be OK?

What I object to, is you deciding for me, or me deciding for you, that your life is inconvenient for me and therefore I get to kill you. The question is; do we get to actively kill disabled children who do not have life threatening medical conditions? You already have shown you are in favor of this through partial birth abortion and now you seem keen to take up and champion the cause of putting innocent post natal children, to death as well. I wish I could say that I'm shocked but frankly; I'm not.
