(probably after going over the kerb)... at such speed, and with little space... he simply slammed against the tire barrier he was ok, but no doubt sick by the accident as he was running seventh and catching up to the leaders fast. giancarlo has had a very disappointing year... he started in terrific form winning the opening GP in melbourne... since then, he has been struggling and twice now, he has made critical errors that may jeopardize his position as a Renault driver... a combination of bad luck and errors made by him -the one stalling out of his second pit stop in an earlier race stands out have not help his team's pursuit for the constructor's championship finally... second placed montoya was hit by antonio pizzonia to take himself and montoya out of the race... arguably, montoya seemed to have cut in front of pizzonia as they entred a corner... all a moot point as montoya lost second place....pitpass.com
