Yeah, that's about the only thing we have to be thankful for. Thank god we don't have a dem as a president. We might not be spreading democracy and money like it was the milk of jesus across the world.

Last nights speech was the most pathetic political pandering I have ever seen. It's sheer bribery. W was at his most insincere, obviously reading from a teleprompter, trying to be warm and concerned while smirking. He is desperately trying to save a failed presidency. Domestic policies are in disarray, Social Security Reform? Ha. Americas world standing at an all time low. Growing Chaos in Iraq. He will possibly go down as the most inept president of the last 100 years.

I'm getting nauseous at the way this president throws money around.

Conservatives better cut spending elsewhere to pay for this or they are going to lose a lot of their base come election time.

I am very disappointed with Bush on this. Not sure what his strategy is.

One can only imagine how bad it would be if a Dem was in charge of the purse strings

I doubt they would be spending more. The difference is that the money would be going to the people who need it instead of corporate benefactors.

If you compare deficit spending of either Bush to Clinton it is easy to see who the fiscally irresponsible ones are.

Bush has already passed Clintons 8 year percentage increase in the debt(36.76%) in a little more than 4 1/2 years, but that is nothing compared to daddy Bush, who grew it by something like 57% in 4 years!!

Just returned from Seattle. I was with people from the Seattle Housing Authority They talked of the millions that they waste. One manager was 2 million over budget and he said, it is not our money...

This is but an example of the waste in our country. It is shameful. And there are idiots that want more wasted.
