Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the search features you have available to you now quite superior to any that were available before, save for the short-lived Advanced Search Go2Net implemented? And the Advanced Search (part of the $19.95 annual package for you) even blows that away, IMO. To my knowledge, the only features we don't have now that we had before are the particular quotes/charts that used to be available (but we didn't own) and portfolios. And those were available to everyone; not just subscribers. I'm pretty certain that no paid features from the previous version of the site are missing from this version, and there are a LOT of features available to you now that never were before. But correct me if I'm wrong.but i am afraid SI could become more like raging bull if you continue to give away the farm. Won't happen. Free members are very limited here. The former pay-to-post business model was a huge part of why SI was no longer viable as a business. It was a business model that meant it was just a matter of time before the lights would be turned off. InfoSpace (wisely) had no interest in running it as an expensive hobby, and neither do we. That model worked VERY well during the bubble and when SI was the only big player around. Neither of those conditions currently exists, so that model is no longer workable, so as a business, we need free members, their posts (and readership and ads that go with them) and their eventual purchase of subscriptions so they can gain access to the features you have available.
