And what exactly was the prez doing during these days of havoc, when the city was overwhelmed by mother nature and thugs???
You know, the one who last night admitted THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT and military need to take control in these situations. I'm sure he was so concerned he was on the phone begging for four days.
Most cities don't have the means to have enough police or resources on hand during normal times. Maybe the mayor should have tried for some of that Halliburton biz.

The white President of the United States begs him to evacuate for four days.

If that is true, why didn't Dumbya mention that in his speech last night? Why did he admit that he also screwed up, eh? Is it because he is stupid or something?

Rightwing race-baiting in New Orleans was clear. The day after the tragedy when Bush was still on vacation, the first thing out rightwing pundits' mouths was "shame on those looters, someone should shoot them" not realizing that in most cases looting (or "finding food" as it's called when whites do it) was the only way to survive because Bush and FEMA were AWOl at the time.

Incidentally, Bush's one token black, Condi Rice, was at a Broadway play and shopping for $1000 shoes while "her people" were dying in the New Orleans flood. So this is not about racde, it's about callous inept mis-leadership.

The racist ones among the Whites in the South are probably hoping that Dumbya's inaction in NO was not due to incompetence but because he wanted to stick it to the Black voters who voted against him... But can they be sure of that??
