In so far as one can identify popular fervor with popular religious adherence, there is a similarity but there the similarity ends. For the rest, the neocons are more like the Mafia than any populist revolutionary group. In fact, to put record straight in case there is any doubt how I regard them, I would say they are simply criminals, and that's putting it nicely.
