I approve of the vouchers for displaced people. My initial reaction on the tax write-offs for building buildings is negative, though. I'd like to have someone explain to me why that's a good idea. I don't want my tax money going to support the building of future submerged buildings or even, particularly, for future unsubmerged buildings in NO. It's not apparent that it's a better use of my money than a bridge to nowhere in Alaska.
