Should be factored in, but crews have just started getting damaged platforms. Undersea assesment may take longer.

There is wide varibility - in some cases, it seems Ivan already cause the undersea landslides and damadged the weak pipelines and not the strong. Katrina also hit farther WEST, areas not affected by Ivan.

Note that the MMS reports on Federal offshore land - they don't cover state offshore prodcution.

Both the production technology and prices for NG have change since many of the older platforms were built. So the platforms might be repaired, but to drill deeper.

The repair capability situation is being considerably underestimated, except maybe annectodally. Good article in WSJ recently. Specialized labor and equipment is used for offshore work, and both are scattered, damaged, or lost.

I expect some workers who lost their homes to leave the industry - some now, some after they make enough money to pay off debts and buy a new home much further inland.

NG prices are in uncharted territory - hihg enough to cause demand destruction - how much is not known.

Only part of this is in the stock prices at this time. Stock price appear to be looking at $7- 8.50 NG , not > $10.00
