>>> Nagin knows exactly what he's doing...

Yeah. That's why he had no plan for evacuating NOLA.

Actually, Nagin evacuated 80% of the population. That's damn good.

That's why he sent 30,000 people to the Superdome to starve and go without water for days.

Those are the people who could not afford to evacuate and had no where to go. In NO, its considered shelter of last resort and was used during their 1997 hurricane as well.

That's why funds which should have been spent on disaster preparedness were allocated to other purposes. That's why Bush and the National Hurricane Center had to call him and all but DEMAND a mandatory evacuation.

LOL. Those funds were nothing compared to the funds diverted from NO to pay for the war in Iraq.

Like I said, 80% of the population was evacuated. For a hurricane evacuation, that's considered excellent. There are people who did evacuate that are saying now they won't evacuate in the future. And there are people who didn't evacuate that say they never will. Its virtually impossible to make people evacuate when they don't want to. You might fine them but that's the practical extent of law enforcement's power during such times.

You're really bright.

Very. So much so that you are having a hard time comprehending what I am saying.

re: Yeah. That's why he had no plan for evacuating NOLA.

He got 80% out, idiot. Name another evacuation that got 80% of the population out of a major city.

First you defend FEMA, and the head of FEMA gets trashed. Does that send a message about your objectivity?

Then you defend Bush, and first he says that the results are unacceptable, and then he says that he is responsible.

Get a clue DR, the Bush admin blew it big time, and they admit it. These guys know politics and they know patronage, but thay know nothing about running government.

Look at Iraq, look at Afghanistan, look at New Orleans, look at the deficit, look at NATO, the UN.

Totally inept. Still you defend them... the dogma queen.

John

"That's why Bush and the National Hurricane Center had to call him and all but DEMAND a mandatory evacuation."

Of course, that didn't happen.
