People have lost everything in NO and these rich dilettantes, some of whom are friends of Bush, have nothing better to do with their money but fly dogs and cats half way across the country to SFO. There is such outrage over this story that Pickens was embarrassed into giving $5 million to the Red Cross. I dunno... it doesn't bother me too much. Someone's gotta help the pets! Z, they were helping the pets right there in NO.........the SPCA has set up shelters. Meanwhile, the rich spend thousands and thousands of dollars to fly them from NO to CA while people, humans, are homeless without any money at all. I find that abhorrent. ted
