<< Italy proposes dual currency of Lira and Euro >>

I'm quite sure anytime Italy wants to leave the EU, and get their piece of crap currency back, no one would object.

I'm sure many Germans would let out a loud sigh of relief.

"All we need now is a volcanic eruption...." Jeeze, everybody here seems to be bitching and moaning. Are you all long or what?

re: GW Bush + Republicans + Democrates wants to spend 200 Billion

One way to offset these expenses could be to rent out White house while GW is away on his hard earned vacations;P

Energyplay Re: "worst case" LEG (Leggett and Platt) warned this morning and they could be a real "canary in the coal mine" for a bunch of stuff. In addition to making all sorts of components for furniture they have a big plastic film business making lots of the plastic place mats and the like you see at Walmart. Imports could be part of the problem but I doubt it would be with this vinyl film stuff as the main cost is the resin itself. I will listen to the webcast this morning to see if I hear anything interesting.

If the next quarter brings reduced earnings because of oil look out below as far as stock prices go.

A man told me yesterday that his bill for the black poly film you use for tomato crops cost him $18,000 more than last crop, and he is a fairly small operator.

Energyplay Re: "worst case" And now you have TPX mattress company warning and I would imagine TPX would be a customer for the bedsprings and the like produced by LEG. Could this be the beginnings of something, maybe related to housing and home furnishing?
