The guys were like those tennis players that plays at the weekend in the club. They were awarded trophies, they have their own rank and they were labelled champions. And that had been going on for soo many years already. One Saturday they arrived at the club, like they did every weekend, on the opposite court they saw Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer warming up... The Europeans propped up by Marshall Plan and part of the rich men's club created by the Bretton Woods agreement have been rich for so long that they forgot what it takes to get there. The guys who do know why and how are all dead. As the creator of the rich man's club said they would be in the long term, if you know what I mean. Then one Saturday morning they see Brazil, China and India warming up in the opposite court... Donlt the Germans understand that the US had to put that capitalist poster boy for the USSR to see how nice capitalism was? That without USSR there's no need for a poster boy there? Don't Europeans understand that that Social democracy thing had to be constructed to avoid European workers looking to the East and see the "greener" grass? Don't they fathom that this is no longer necessary and the feathers are being emoved from their beds?
