"Might try this on Solon, though. He's from the People's Republic of Canada."

YOU are from the Republic. I am not. You are mistaken again.

There is little difference in how we live. We have the same Corporate stores to buy from. We trade freely to mutual benefit. We DO take a more collective approach to essential needs such as food, shelter, clothing, and health. But none of this is forced, but is part of a collective agreement in free elections of Governments to express the will of the people.

We are polarized as you are between the "left" and the "right". However, our polarization is less strident and less pronounced. Our "Right" does not have the same religious fanaticism which drives so much of your "Right". Humanism looms rather larger here than over there. We don't attend a lot of church proportional to Americans--but we don't lack in outreaching through myriad channels to the poor, the sick, and the afflicted.

We are a different country. We are not all that different a people. We know our way out of town. That is perhaps the major difference. Nothing we are going to boast about!
