This is why US military should be used only when it's needed to protect the country. Never should we engage in pre-emptive strikes with little or no intelligence. With narrow support and inadequate troop strength for the job at hand, it made it even worse.

You can't occupy and secure a country the size of California with 140,000 troops. Can't be done, especially against a guerilla insurgency.

Iraq was all about the oil. The whole Bush-cheney presidency was all about the oil. They really don't care about much more. So they got their wish, $3 gas and Exxon making 40 billion profit a year. Halliburton with 11 billion in no-bid contracts. Mission accomplished.
