FEMA and the Bushies are mainly responsible for the Katrina disaster aftermath. Not to mention the levee funding cuts, Army Engineer and National Guard shortage due to the Iraq War.

The entire city government of New Orleans was taken out by the storm and flooding. This is exactly what FEMA is set up to handle, disasters so big local governments are overwhelmed.

The myth that there were all these buses ready to pick up survivors is something dreamt up in Karl Rove's war room. FEMA couldn't get any buses in there until three-four days after the storm. Locals should have done more, but before the storm, FEMA did absolutely nothing. And FEMA is Bush's responsibility. Bush and his entire top staff were on vacation even though they knew what was likely about to happen.

Contrast to how well Bushies did in Florida 2004 right before the election. Face it, they just didn't care. Gross negligence.
