"Any recommendations?"

Listen to the radio with an open mind.

"I once heard Pachelbel's Canon in D performed as a rap or acid rock piece; I'm not quite sure which, as I had to cover my years. What a desecration!"

My brother played Madonna's Like a Virgin covered by a boy band. The cover of the album showed a man in a wedding dress being held up, essentially, spread eagle between his band mates. You can imagine what they did to the vocals? That is desecration.

The Residents covered various pieces on tin whistle(s). They actually sounded pretty good.

Robert Bonfiglio is my recommendation of the day.
