It is more than my statement, it is reality. Other countries, including China who is our biggest debt holder, have indicated that they want to reduce the amount of bonds they buy. If they reduce the bonds they buy, who will finance our deficit? Remember what happens when we can no longer find ready buyers for our bonds, we have to print money.

Try researching why stagflation was such a problem during the 1970s and early 1980s. This isn't a theoretical exercise, it is based on real events.
