Mish: Just when I was losing faith in financial institutions a minor miracle happens. I filed an insurance claim last June. The insurer (US Life) was very slow to respond. But they finally paid off a few days ago. But what was truly astounding was the fact that they admitted they were too slow to respond AND VOLUNTARILY PAID INTEREST on those funds in addition to the base settlement. Santa Claus in the insurance industry? We truly live in amazing times.
